Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! In March 2026, we opened our gates for general admission, so you can now explore the ranch at your own pace. Walk the grounds, see our animals, and enjoy a fun day outdoors with family and friends. If you’d like a more personal experience, private guided tours are still available by appointment.

  • You can book a guided tour by calling or texting us at (912) 410-7476 or emailing us at hoperanchgvs@gmail.com.

  • You will pay at the time of your arrival. It is $20 per person and 2 & under are free.

  • When you reach the blue and white fence on the dirt George Hurst Road, you will know you have made it! Enter through the first entrance on the left (or last entrance on the right if traveling north), follow the directional signs, and park in front of the gift shop.

  • You can bring snacks and drinks for yourself, weather appropriate clothing, and strollers/wagons/wheelchairs if needed.

  • You will be able to pet, feed, and hold some of our animals, although there are encounter restrictions in Georgia for other animals such as our monkeys and sloth.

  • We will provide food that you can feed our animals on your tour, but you are more than welcome to bring unopened fruits and veggies to donate if you would like! Most of our animals love apples and carrots.

  • Yes, and encouraged if needed! There is quite a bit of walking to do at Hope Ranch and we want everyone to be comfortable! Our isles contain loose sand, but most wheels do just fine.

  • We encourage everyone to wear comfortable shoes and clothes they do not mind getting a little dirty. Our goal is for every child to leave with a little bit of dirt on their feet!

  • We gladly accept volunteers! For serious inquiries, send us an email at hoperanchgvs@gmail.com with a little information about yourself and what the volunteer hours are for.
